I am a one person shop, if you have work done at jw Custom it will be done by me and me alone. I take care and pride in every job I do. An example is the STI pistol pictured on the previous page.
I built this pistol for myself to shoot in USPSA competition. Why build one when you can buy one already to go from STI (for less money), simple this gun has exactly what I wanted in my pistol not one with basic generic features which work well but aren't just what I wanted or needed. I do this kind of job not only on 1911/2011 pistols but I also build custom bolt action rifles and ruger 10-22 rifles.
Custom 25-06 built on Mark X Mauser action, trued and lapped. McMillan stock glass and pillar bedded to the action and fitted with a Pachmayr Decellerator recoil pad. Free floated Shilen #4 barrel with KDF muzzle break. Timney trigger, Leupold QD scope mounts and rings and a Bushnell Elite 4.5-14 Scope.
Custom Ruger 10-22 built to customer specs. Ruger receiver with titanium Firing pin pinned into polished bolt. Complete trigger job with pre-travel adjustable sear, over-travel adjustable sear, trigger pull at 2# crisp and clean. Richards Micro-Fit laminated stock hand fit to receiver and glass bedded. Stainless Steel 17" .920 Barrel.
